This weekend I worked for a company called Ananchel Fine Art Photography. We did 2 Father/Daughter Dances. It was a Coal Mt. Elementary School, which long time ago, was my elementary school. Crazy how things come back around later in life. Their theme for their Father/Daughter dance was a "Rockin 50's" theme. It was really cute to see how all the girls and their dads dressed up for it. It was really fun and have a great time. Thanks to Sundra Paul, owner of Ananchel to allowing to help out in her amazing company.

The pass couple of shoots have been for birthday parties. From age 10-1, I love doing any age! Natalie and her parents go to church with me. SMALL WORLD! Natalie's mother and I use to work at the same photo studio from 2006-2009. Ashley's father (Natalie's grandfather) owned a company called Photographic Arts which did very well until the economic started going down. Natalie is a beautiful baby and I can't wait to see what God has planned for her and her wonderful mother and father.

I got a new light kit for Christmas!!! The picture above is about what mine looks like. I am so blessed. I had no idea that I was going to get one! My plan was to buy one with my taxes in the spring. Special Thanks to my boss, Sundra Paul, who helped my parents out on getting the best deal on lights for me. I cried, like a baby because I wanted them, didn't know I was getting them, and touched by what Sundra did for my family. Jesus is good! Merry CHRISTmas!

Javy Lopez was the catcher for the Braves when I was a little girl. At the "Ride 4 Will" I was able to meet him! He is a bike-rider club and came to support Will and his family. It was really nice to meet him and he is a sweet man. Jinger who is/was Will's mother loved him and told him to come back; the ride now is famous because of him and hopefully will have more celebrities come out through the year. Being a photographer is great. Last year I met the actress Kim Basinger, and now a baseball player. Still waiting to meet Justin Timberlake and Carrie Underwood.

My Church, Greater Heights has a Fall Festival for kids and their families every year. I became a member in May of this year, so this is my first time being part of the festival. It was divide up by Sunday School classes on who would do what booth. Carrie and I, teach the 5th-6th grade girls, and our booth was the photo booth. The theme for the festival this year was a barn theme so we had a barn backdrop where people could put their head through. The first picture on this page is my pastor and his wife! They were great sports about it. It was really fun and hope we were a blessing as a church to the community.

GHBC Girl's Volleyball

At Greater Heights, we have a home-school program for those children and teens of the church to be home-schooled. With that also comes the Rangers Volleyball team, which 4 of the girls are on. It is jut like a high school volleyball team, just with home-schooled girls on it. Bailey, Sarah, Hannah, and Rachel are one this team, and they did a wonderful job. The JV and Varsity teams won their game that night. The JV is 11-2, and the Varsity girls are 12-1. The do an amazing job and the parents and friends of Greater Heights are proud of these 4 ladies.

I go to Greater Heights Baptist Church in Cumming, Ga. I have the most amazing Pastor, and Pastor's family and member of God's Children could ever have. I have been going to church there for about 8 months, and became a member in May 2011. Pastor Chris and his family have been nothing but wonderful Christians and church family. I am so blessed to have great Christian's in my life. Everytime Pastor preaches, I get something out of it. At the church's kids camp, there wasn't a pool or a lake near. With it being in the mid-90's all week, we needed a way for the campers to have a little fun with water. The local fire department came and show the kids the truck and then made the water come out to show how they put out fires and allowed the kids to have a little fun with a home-made slip-in-slide.

My Church, Greater Heights takes kids to camp to learn about Jesus and his love. How his son is the only way to get to Heaven. Jesus died for all of us, and wants us to believe in his with all of our hearts. I went to take pictures and have a great time with the kids. April 30th, 2011 Forsyth County gave their first Special Needs Prom. For those kids who may get looked at in the hall to have a time to relax and dance like no one was watching or going to make fun of them. I think, this is a wonderful idea and that every high school in the United States should do this, for these wonderful kids. Everyone has a place and everyone belongs together.

April 2nd 2011. Channing Victoria Walden; my best friend since 6th grade, getting married. Since the couple wanted a small wedding, I went from a bridesmaid to the photographer. Engagement Photos at moonlight. There is a first for everything. Channing Walden, Clayton Samples and I went down to Tybee Island, Ga the weekend of March 19th. We were unable to make it there by sunset, but there was a full moon. To not make it a wasted trip, we did a couple of their engagement photos by the moon light. The full moon, really help. Everything happens for a reason and after they saw the pictures, they were happy we missed the sunset.

Riverview Elementary School in Dawsonville Georgia is getting involved with Relay For Life. Head Leader, Heidi McClure set up a Sock-Hop for the kids to help raise the money. H. Grace Photography was there to get all the kids dancing with friends and family. As well as, taking posed pictures. 10 % of all sales went to Relay For Life. That night, Riverview raised $376. For being a new school and their first time doing this, I think they did wonderful!

There I do senior pictures, school pictures and edit. I have also helped out at Ananchel Photography doing school photography. I will post in the next couple day some photoshoots that I have done myself over the next couple of days! Can't wait to finish 2010 with a great photo shoot!

Last year, I did my part in the Gwinnett Tech Holiday Portraits with building the set, and taking the pictures. This year, I went to get my pictures taken to help the next new photographers get some money for their portfolio show next year. The set was really cute and I loved all the colors and presents. Congrats to Bill and Hilary (not Clinton). I got the honor in being Bill and Hilary Saladrigas wedding photographer on October 3rd, 2009. The two where married in Buford at The Holiday Marina. Bill and Hillary where welcomed by friends and family on their special day. The day was beautiful with the sunshine, which was great for Georgia these past couple of days due to flooding. God was looking out for them and their wedding to let it be a great outdoor wedding.

Maybe one out of 100 million women marry a man with the same last name as their maiden name. Virigina Freeman married Sam Freeman in Dauphin Al. in summer 2009. Yes, they looked it up, and no there is no close family relationship, their families come from 2 different states. I am was very honored to be their photographer. It was very nice to do my first "lake/beach" wedding. The couple was great and close friends of mine. Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Freeman for letting me share your day.

Durning the time of portfolio I had many models helping me out with getting my portfolio to the best it could be. With themes, ideas, girls, and time it all came together. Some on the lovely people that modeled for me did not make it in this time but there is always room for improvement. This is Jennifer. For Mr. Jones class, we had to do an assignment that showed all the skills we had learned through out the year. We could choose between a tarot card or movie poster. I did Queen Of Wands tarot card. The Queen of Wands represents the aspects of fire that are most important to us. She is warmth, sensitivity, gentleness and faithfulness as well as strength and determination. The Queen sits upon a throne with arm rests in the appearance of lions, a symbol of fire and strength. In her left hand and behind her are sunflowers, symbolising life, fertility, joy and satisfaction. The black cat is the dark side of the card. We had to make the car our own. There is shadows, burning/dodging, darken background, change the color of the lion, add details, just a lot of photoshop fun.

22 DAYS!!

There is only 22 days till the portfolio grading. How am I doing?? STRESSED! I'm in that mode where I'm thinking about chancing careers but then remember how much money I've already spent. But also how much I really do like taking pictures. I can do this. Knowing me, I will cry, but it will be worth it in the end...if i pass...if not...more tears. Wish Me Luck!

Working this week with Joseph Cartright in NYC! I have been non-stop for the best 3 days. Today we shot a fashion modern fairy tale of Rapunzel. The model's name is Jae and she is from Germany, which is fun cause Rapunzel is a German fairy tale later told my the Girmm Brothers. It was lots of fun and we ended up using 9 lights. Crazy how fashion works.

Melissa and Rob For Mr. Jones

This was another picture that I did for Mr. Jones' final class. I shot a wedding a week before Mr. Jones' final and came up with this idea when I shot this picture. Jesus hands giving them away. Yet, Mr. Jones didn't like the hands, its ok. I'll live. I added the hands, changed the color of her flower, add flowers to Rod's hands, added more contrast to the sky, lighten the couple and thats how the bottom picture came out. Me and Photoshop are getting used to each other.

I have learned that photoshop and I are not the best of friends. But thanks to Mr. Jones, I have learned a lot about photoshop. Here is my final for his class. My boss Patrick at Aeropostale is my model to give the feeling at Aero. Happy when things go right, annoyed by customers with stupid questions, and like the Hulk when employees do something wrong. Gotta love Aero!

Roller Stone Cow

Compositions with Mr. Jones, once again. I took the picture of Stone Mountain, a cow in my yard, and the Batman ride from Six Flags. Added the sky and brighten up it up along with the clouds. Made the water a darker bluer and lighten up the roller coaster. Not your everyday scene, but its a fun picture.

Tink Helped Print With Light

In Architectural we had to print with light. This is where you go into a room and flash your light (print) with it to show a picture. I did Katie's little sisters room who likes Tinker Bell from Disney's "Pete Pan." In this picture the room isn't straight, but it came out straight in my film which is what I wanted. I had fun doing this and like the way it came out.

On May 11th, our photography group is going to take a field trip to Madison, Ga. One of the only city's that wasn't burned down during the civil war. We had a choose different houses to shoot through looking through a magazine that Mrs. Harkins has. I chose Heritage Hall. The picture above is the building, but not the one I shoot. Mine will be better! (I hope).
